Abu Ahmed Villa

SKETCH designed the exterior and landscape of this contemporary villa: stepped horizontal volumes clad in white marble, punctuated by dark timber and grey stone, with vertical light strips giving the boundary wall a calm rhythm. Inside the courtyard, a stone walkway edged with lawn leads past marble steps to a pergola-shaded lounge around a marble fire pit against a green wall, and to a pool backed by a stone wall with cascading water. Warm dusk lighting heightens the contrast of materials, lending the project a refined, serene character.
